Invitation to Cyclic Living

I created this invitation in the rainforest in Costa Rica when I was living with the beautiful Melissa & her son. This is an invitation to live your life in alignment with the cycles, which is one pillar in my Sovereign Woman Temple Journey. Knowing where we are in our cycle, and in the cycles of the celestial bodies is essential for sensitive women who often get caught up in other people’s needs and visions. When we know how to co-create WITH nature and live in harmony with the innate rhythms of our body, we are truly and deeply present to what is, and what is not.

Solstice Blessings & Ritual For You!

Today we celebrate the Solstice, the turning of the astrological wheel of the year. I personally love the solstice because its the time of year that we get to rest, take a breath, remember our ancient ways of alignment with the sun, moon, earth & tune into this ancient conversation with Father Sun in his journey through the Zodiac.

Solstice, being ruled by Sol (the sun) is an invitation to consciously weave our dreams & share our gifts in a way that is aligned with love & consciousness. We enter the 2nd quadrant of the astrological year as the sun enters Cancer, Leo, Virgo & our focus becomes fine tuned to the BIG PICTURE. Which is ‘we are in the cosmic revolution of light frequency’

We enter into solstice dreaming with the question "what light am I contributing to the whole through my gifts, my heart and my service"?

In the Southern Hemisphere::

The earth and her beloved children enter winter’s deep rest. A time for softness & dreaming, earthing and grounding, nurturing, and care. Mumma earth enters her wise woman phase & invites us into the deep rest with her, to tend to our internal fires & seek guidance for the year to come.

In the Northern Hemisphere::

Sexy summer has arrived, Mother Earth in her full expression of the Earth Empress. We are working with heat, fire and passion to alchemize, transform and carve a path forward.

We use the fire element & the cauldron of creativity to cook the broth that we will drink from when the harvest comes in Autumn. It’s a time of steadfastness, of vision, focus, and participation through inspired actions that serve the greater good.

It is my preference to work with the solar cycle, the seasons & my menstrual cycle when planning events, holidays and offerings I am wanting to share. I do this because it is the path of conscious co-creation with the universe. It anchors in deeper connection with Solar the Sacred Masculine (AKA Father Sun) within myself that needs structure & routine to flourish. I then layer my menstrual cycle mapping on top of the seasons so that my self-care is aligned with my womb & I am honoring the flow of my womanhood in her intricate needs. I work with the lunar cycle for my personal growth and my deeper soul journey, which is another post altogether.

As we contemplate light on this solstice during this pivotal time in the evolution of humanity, we are weaving a new dream together. A dream that is WE (sustainable community solutions) focused rather than ME (my empire) focused.

NOW is the time sisters, we who are called to share our gifts and be a pillar of hope in our communities. It’s time for you to say yes to the things your heart and soul want to share, to weave the world we want to wake up inside of tomorrow.

I have created a little reflection ritual for you to do before the new moon to help you glean goodness from the pain and celebrate your triumphs...

This portal when the Sun enters Cancer and the dark moon takes us into 3 days of deep listening is a recalibration point. A time of reflection and giving thanks for the gifts gleaned, lessons learned, help given. It’s a time where we stop and marvel at the infinite wisdom in the cycles of life. The seed that was planted in our consciousness and cracked open through pressure, that grew in the light of love from Self and others, became a sapling, then a tree, it blossomed and grew fruit. The harvest was gleaned and the leaves fell to the ground, the light grew darker and the tree of our dreams was called into a great big rest to prepare for the next cycle.

This beautiful, majestic tree of life is constantly ebbing and flowing in an innate rhythm. It needs no instruction, it just needs us to listen. So tonight, whether you are in the northern or southern hemisphere. Whether this is the peak of winter or the peak of summer I invite you to reflect upon the unfolding of your life. Life is unfolding, on its own, all it asks of you is to show up, to listen, and ask for the next step. Sometimes that step is to listen, reflect and rest. Sometimes it is to take action. Sometimes it’s to wait. Sometimes it is to let go. Which phase of life are you at?

Gratitude is one of the key activators for our inner light and it connects us to an expanded state of being. No matter how upside-down your world may be right now, I invite you to invite the light of the Sun into your heart and ask for help to see what you can be grateful for as you do the ritual below.

Timeline Ritual

You will need

Paper and pen to write on

Paper to burn

Paper to keep

Ritual items: fireproof bowl, lighter or matches, water.

Create a sacred space for yourself, light your candles, incense, hydrate and connect in with your beautiful self, preferably uninterrupted (but hey do what you can sexy mumma).

To begin ground yourself, walk on the earth, tune into the life beneath your feet and within every cell. Breath in for 4, out for 8 and come into your body.

Start by writing 2011 on your paper, write down all of the major events from the past 10 years, the year they occurred, what you learned from them, and what you are celebrating letting go of. What's your take away and what are you proud of yourself for in that situation?

Write and write, think about the relationships you have fostered, the people you have met and the opportunities that have opened because of them.

On a separate bit of paper, write down a list of the qualities you are amplifying with the sun!

When you are ready, state what your letting go of & burn your pages...

e.g 'This ............... I now let go, free from me may it be so'

Take a shower and affirm the gifts & qalities you are amplifying. Gift the ashes to the earth by mixing them with water, water your plants & speak your requests to the ether.

You may have noticed, and perhaps wondered why, sometimes we bleed on the new moon or full moon, with our cycles shifting between the two?

Well, there is a specific conversation happening between your womb, Father Sun, Mumma Earth and Grandmother Moon. For your purpose to be birthed & your sacred path to be illuminated.

Traditionally, the menstruation patterns between full and new moon are called “White Moon” & “Red Moon” bleeding. Your menstruation will attune to both cycles over the course of your life, as well as falling anywhere in between depending on where you are at in your personal journey. (We dive deep into the wisdom these patterns hold in my mentorships and programs). The movement of your body cycles between the full & new moon will be indicative of what is going on in your life energetically.

​The White Moon Cycle

Women ovulating on the full moon and bleeding on the dark/new moon.

When the fertile power of a woman and the full moon coincide, it provides the best conditions for her to express her creative energies in conception.

Since biodynamics has shown that the earth is most fertile during full moons, this cycle is most traditionally linked to fertility and motherhood. If you are a “White Moon” woman, you’ll likely feel a surge in your intuition during your period, and will feel the urge to withdraw for nourishment and self-renewal. In other words, you’re tapped out energetically and have given the month your all, now it’s “you” time.

This White Moon cycle became the cycle known as the ‘good mother’ cycle. Probably because of the focus on procreation, which in the industrial revolution meant, more children, more empires. We see around the world today that this aspect of womanhood is often given supreme recognition and ‘the good wife’ societal projection is forced on us from all angles. We, women, are juggling so much, from an authentic desire to provide a beautiful nest for our family, as well as because of the pressures about the way motherhood should look (we are going to shed some of these layers sisters!). The White Moon cycle is also for our projects, our gardens, our internal replenishment, it creates a rhythm within of deep rest with the darkness of the moon, where we are able to dive deep into the archetype of the wise woman and bring through this wisdom for the coming cycle.

​The Red Moon Cycle

When a woman ovulates at the dark moon and bleeds at the full moon.

This cycle shows an orientation away from the energies of procreation and towards inner development, professional development, and our expression in the world.

This cycle was seen by men as more powerful and less controllable, and it became the cycle of the ‘evil’ woman, the seductress, or the ugly witch, whose sexuality was applied to something other than the formation of the next generation. But what if, those of us who are ovulating with the dark moon is birthing foundations for the next generation?What if the desires for change that are burning in our womb is a part of the picture of what is required for the collective growth of humanity?When we are ovulating with the dark moon, seeds of information are being planted into our womb, when the moon is full, we are bleed and pour this information into the earth for her healing and replenishment.Also, if you are ovulating on the dark moon, you will have LOADS more energy for your projects, which is such a gift for women who have creative/entrepreneurial ventures on the go.

Both cycles are true expressions of our feminine energies and neither is more powerful or more correct than the other.

​We get to embody it all throughout our lifetime.

How potent is this information? It is vital in so many ways for liberation in our feminine journey, yet this information is often not passed down from woman to woman in the west.
